The Exquisite Corpse of Iva Good Voice Flute
Drawn by Victoria Wagner, Adam Springer and Jeremy Ehling
Iva Good Voice Flute spotlights the long tradition of Native Americans that have grown up in compromised positions on reservations to then come of age during service to their country. She remained deeply spiritual and progressive throughout her service in the Air Force and went on to found the first chartered all-woman American Legion post in the nation, where she serves as the first female native Commander. She counsels young people about the military and has become part of the archive of oral history program with Women in Service for America Memorial Foundation.—Victoria Wagner
